Alsayed Osman, MD

Alsayed earned his medical degree from the University of Gezira in Sudan, where he received multiple awards for academic excellence. It was during medical school that he developed a lasting interest in Rheumatology, drawn to the complexity and multidisciplinary nature of autoimmune diseases.

He worked as a research fellow at the Mayo Clinic, where he deepened his interest in clinical research. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at AdventHealth Orlando, where his passion for Rheumatology continued to grow and was awarded the outstanding accomplishment in research award.

He then completed his Rheumatology fellowship at the University of South Florida, where he served as Chief Fellow. During his training, he developed a strong interest in myositis and became deeply passionate about advancing care and research in this complex group of diseases. He is excited to further his training at UPMC as a Myositis fellow and looks forward to learning from and working alongside experts in the field. Outside of medicine, he enjoys walking, playing ping pong and pickleball, and spending time with his wife and son.
