Dr. Klein is a clinician-educator whose educational interests center around clinician-educator faculty development and clinical skills teaching. He works closely with internal medicine residents and medical students as a clinical preceptor, coach, and mentor and co-directs the internal medicine residency Medical Education Certificate Program. He also directs the Introduction to Physical Exam Course for first-year medical students and co-directs the Longitudinal Clinical Skills Preceptor Program. His clinical experience is focused on providing high-quality, equitable primary care for all of his patients. His scholarly work and teaching focuses on strategies for improving retention of learning and essential teaching competencies for clinician educators.
