Anne Yang, MD, MS

Academic Interests

Dr. Yang’s research goal is to understand accelerated lung aging in those with chronic lung disease, such as COPD, and to identify biomarkers or endotypes linked to COPD multimorbidities, as these could help predict high-risk individuals or serve as potential therapeutic targets. Currently, she is studying computational methods and is pursuing a proteomics approach to measure biologic age of those with COPD and explore differences between biologic and chronologic age. Since her appointment to this T32, she has published one invited review article, presented at two national conferences including the Young Investigators’ Forum, and has been invited to give an oral presentation at ATS and a poster presentation. Her long-term goal is to contribute to the field of chronic lung disease as an independent academic physician-scientist with a clinical-translational approach to identifying contributors to COPD multimorbidity through an aging lens.
