Ben Zuchelkowski, MD

Dr. Benjamin Zuchelkowski grew up in a small town in Southwest PA before attending undergraduate at Allegheny College and medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency and subsequently served as a Chief Resident at UPMC. His clinical research has focused on clinical outcomes in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 under the supervision of Dr. William Bain. His basic science research has focused on acute lung injury of Klebsiella pneumonia in a murine model of G6PD deficiency. His clinical interests include sepsis, pulmonary hypertension, and POCUS. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, staying active, baking and classical piano.
