Academic Interests
Dr. Thiel's clinical interests include general medicine, ambulatory medicine, and improving clinical care for people who use substances. His research interests center on opioid use disorder and clinical trials. He is interested in both undergraduate and graduate medical education. Areas of interest include: ambulatory and inpatient general internal medicine, evidence-based medicine, and training residents and medical students to evaluate and treat substance use disorders.
