Academic Interests

My longstanding goal is to transform clinical observations into testable research hypotheses, translate basic research findings into medical advances and evaluate treatment protocols in rigorous clinical trials, while caring for and improving the quality of life of individuals with heart rhythm disorders. My fundamental research on stress, autonomic-redox coupling and fatal cardiovascular illnesses is complemented by my translational research on artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) for advancing personalized medicine.
