I am most interested currently in predictors of outcome post TAVR, specifically relating to renal function or underlying pulmonary hypertension. I have also studied cardiovascular disease in patients with end-stage renal disease and risk factors for poor outcome post renal transplant. I am also interested in novel imaging modalities, both invasive and noninvasive, and new applications for previously established modalities.
My clinical interests include percutaneous interventions for structural heart disease. I am involved with the UPMC Center for Aortic Valve Disease and with the TAVR program. I also practice general and interventional cardiology at UPMC Shadyside.
