Dr. Ufomata's clinical interests are in gender affirmation, women's health, healthcare for populations made marginalized, and primary care. Her educational interests are in LGBTQIA+ health, justice and equity in medical education, and communication and clinical skills training, both in curricular development as well as faculty development. Her research interest is int he field of medical education, with a focus on equity in medical education and curriculum development and evaluation in the areas of LGBTQIA+ health, cross cultural communication, and mentorship of trainees and faculty who are underrepresented in medicine.
