My academic interests center on the comprehensive care of patients with liver disease across the full disease spectrum. I am particularly interested in the assessment of frailty in patients with chronic liver disease and the development of prehabilitation strategies to optimize functional status and improve liver transplant outcomes. Clinically, I focus on the management of chronic liver diseases, including the care of patients with decompensated cirrhosis and portal hypertension. I also perform endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, as part of the diagnostic and therapeutic management of these patients. I have a dedicated interest in the multidisciplinary management of Wilson disease, collaborating closely with neurology to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. In addition to my clinical work, I am committed to medical education and mentorship. As the subspecialty education coordinator for the division, I actively work with residents and fellows, with a focus on fostering clinical reasoning, professional development, and career mentorship.
