Dr. Bender’s primary research interest continues to be on the outcomes of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), mostly on peritoneal dialysis (PD). She is studying outcomes in incident PD patients after renal transplant . She is also participating in a study assessing depression in HD patients utilizing laptop connection.
She has a very busy clinical practice and is active in beside teaching of Renal fellows, medical residents and students. She is the Peritoneal Dialysis Director at the Oakand DCI.
