Dr. Grace Lisius obtained her BS in Biology at Boston College. She completed medical school and Internal Medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with additional focus in womens health and clinical reasoning. Her previous translational research investigated the use of microbial-DNA-based testing for diagnosis of secondary infections in severe COVID-19. Academic interests include biomarkers and host immune response in critical illness, ICU clinical decision making, womens health and gender disparities in pulmonary and critical care. Outside the hospital, Dr. Lisius enjoys hiking and spending time with her husband and three cats.
