Dr. Mahmud holds board certifications in endocrinology, obesity medicine, and internal medicine. His clinical interests are neuroendocrinology, obesity medicine, thyroid cancer and diabetes management.He is a part of the neuroendocrine unit, specializing in perioperative management of pituitary and skull base surgery patients. He also specializes in obesity medicine and participates in our clinic's medical weight loss programs.
Dr. Mahmud is serving as the Associate Program Director of the Endocrinology Fellowship Program and is actively involved in the Division's educational activities and clinical training of endocrinology fellows and internal medicine residents. As a key clinical faculty member, he rounds every other week on the inpatient neuroendocrine service with the fellows. He also regularly delivers lectures to medical students as part of the Endocrine Disorders Course.
