Hussein Tahanulqiwa, MD

Dr. Hussein Tahanulqiwa, originally from Iraq, began his medical journey at Oman Medical College, where he developed a strong foundation in patient care. His internal medicine residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan ignited a deep interest in nephrology. This passion led him to the Renal-Electrolytes fellowship program at UPMC, with a future interest in interventional nephrology and academic medicine. Outside of his professional life, Hussein enjoys exploring new places, automotive sports, and soccer, each reflecting his love for adventure, precision, and teamwork. As he advances in his career, Hussein is committed to integrating clinical practice with education and research, aiming to contribute significantly to the field of nephrology.
