Dr. Jacob DeBerry grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest before attending both undergraduate and medical school in Seattle at the University of Washington. He then completed his internal medicine residency and subsequently served as a Chief Resident at UPMC. His clinical research has focused on the interhospital transfer of patients with acute pulmonary embolism and COVID-19 outcomes in patients with malignancy under the supervision of Dr. Belinda Rivera-Lebron and Dr. Matthew Hensley, respectively. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, his adopted daughter, a three-legged pit bull mix, cooking, staying active, and exploring the beauties of Southwestern PA.
