Clinical interests span a wide array of cardiovascular issues in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
General areas of interest include: the evaluation and management of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, and hypertension. Specific interests include the application of advanced cardiac ultrasound, as well as cardiac stress testing.
Educational and clinical focus includes performing and interpreting transthoracic echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography with 4-dimensional imaging and advanced analysis techniques. Particular interests also include the evaluation and treatment of cholesterol disorders and a comprehensive approach to preventive cardiology and the assessment of cardiovascular risk.
Board certification: Cardiovascular Disease (American Board of Internal Medicine). Echocardiography (National Board of Echocardiography). Nuclear Cardiology (Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology).
Active involvement in the education of cardiology trainees in various aspects of cardiac ultrasound. Participation as an instructor in the education of internal medicine residents during cardiology rotations.
