Academic Interests

Kari White, PhD, MPH, is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh and the Executive and Scientific Director at Resound Research for Reproductive Health, an independent research collaborative leading innovative projects on abortion and contraception. She has 15 years’ experience leading research on policies affecting abortion and contraceptive access in Texas, the Deep South, and across the US. Prior to leading Resound Research, Dr. White spent 12 years as a university faculty member, including tenured positions at the University of Texas at Austin and University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has authored over 130 articles in policy, public health, and medical journals, co-led amicus briefs for Supreme Court cases, and served on national reproductive health steering committees.
