Dr. Krish Bharat completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and is currently a Clinical Informatics Fellow at UPMC. He earned a bachelor's degree in Computational Biology from Washington University in St. Louis before receiving his MD from the California University of Science and Medicine.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Bharat worked as a bioinformatics specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, contributing to the development of the Scalable Precision Medicine Open Knowledge Engine (SPOKE), a biomedical knowledge graph supporting precision medicine research. His current work focuses on electronic health record optimization, ambient AI technologies, and clinical decision support to improve physician workflow and patient care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bharat enjoys table tennis, basketball, chess, and traveling. He also enjoys mentoring medical students and exploring innovative technologies that enhance healthcare delivery.
