  • Assistant Professor of Medicine
Academic Interests

Dr. Cloutier’s training and research are interdisciplinary, bridging the fields of psychology, prevention science, implementation science, quantitative methods, and public health to achieve two long-term objectives: (1) enhance the measurement of substance use behaviors and problems to ensure the right people, receive the right treatment, at the right time; (2) translate evidence into improved treatment and overdose prevention practices.

Dr. Cloutier has secured over $8.4 million in federal and foundation funding. Currently, she is the Contact MPI for the NIDA funded HEALing Measurement Center: Enhancing Opioid Use Disorder Recovery Through Measurement-Based Care (1RM1DA059395-01), which includes a stepped-wedge, hybrid type II effectiveness-implementation trial to implement measurement-based care in opioid treatment programs. Previously, she served as the Scientific Director for the Pitt Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU), completed NIDA-funded postdoctoral (T32 DA017629) and predoctoral (F31DA041105) fellowships, and received a PhD in Experimental Psychology (now known as Behavioral Science).
