Rimi Hazra, PhD

  • Research Assistant Professor of Medicine
Academic Interests

Dr. Rimi Hazra’s research primarily includes the crosstalk between vascular and neuronal biology. Specifically, her research focuses on the cellular and molecular signalling between the cerebral microvessels, astrocytes and neurons responsible for cerebrovascular pathology in sickle cell disease. Her overall goal is to identify therapeutic targets for resolving white matter injury and vascular dementia to restore neurocognition in sickle cell disease.
