Academic Interests

I am primarily interested in helping my patients prevent progression of their chronic kidney disease, so that they can avoid needing to start kidney replacement therapy. When that is not possible, I promote the use of kidney transplantation whenever possible. For those patients of mine that require dialysis, I try to make it as least disruptive to their life as possible.

I am also interested in helping patients with difficult to control hypertension develop a treatment plan that maximizes the use of non pharmacological therapies, while also understanding that drugs often play a critical role in treating hypertension.
