Dr. Nouraie's outstanding skills as a biostatistician and epidemiologist helped facilitate the development of several key studies in the area of sickle cell disease and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders, including projects on environmental exposure and pulmonary diseases, natural history and predictors of pulmonary hypertension in sickle cell disease, and application of big administrative data in epidemiology of cardiopulmonary diseases. His research on the design and analysis of clinical studies in the area of GI benign and malignant disease, sickle cell, and cardiopulmonary disorders has resulted in over 350 peer-reviewed publications. Currently, he is interested in assessing risk stratification models and biomarker validation in cardiopulmonary diseases and longevity.
Dr. Nouraie has been involved in teaching applied statistical methods, clinical epidemiology, and study design. His education interests also include the application of biostatistical methods in causal inference and biomarker validation.
