Dr. Assadzandi's research currently focuses on Frailty identification and treatment measures in the post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) setting. She is passionate about quality improvement in the PALTC setting and working with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Assadzandi provides clinical care for patients at Shadyside Senior Care and Asbury Senior Living, a continuing care retirement community. She also provides consultative services through telehealth performing cognitive evaluations for rural areas.
Dr. Assadzandi is interested in teaching geriatric patient-centered care to learners across all disciplines. She is especially focused on education in the post-acute and long-term care setting.
