Dr. Shruthi Kumar obtained her MD degree from Bangalore Medical College, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine from East Carolina University and her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cook County Health in Chicago. Her research so far has been in the immunogenetics of asthma and Interstitial Lung Disease. During her fellowship, she developed an interest in Sleep Medicine and its positive impact in quality of life. Her professional interests include OSA and OHS, insomnia and physician leadership. Outside of medicine she enjoys participating in several group fitness classes, outdoor running and reading nonfiction.
