Academic Interests

Dr. Bogdanovich’s research interests are focused on the prevention and treatment of infections in solid organ transplant recipients, Colstridium difficile infection, and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). Over the last year, she has primarily focused on development of the Volunteer Stool Bank for FMT and development of FMT protocols including freeze-dried FMT capsules.

Dr. Bogdanovich's primary clinical interest is in the area of infections in solid organ transplant recipients including bacterial, viral and fungal infections. As a member of the dedicated Transplant ID (TID) Group at the UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore Hospitals, she sees patient both on the in-patient TID services and in the TID Clinic.

Her more recent clinical and research activities are focused on establishing the UPMC Fecal Microbiota Transplant program aimed at helping patients with recurrent and severe Clostridium difficile infections.
